Fullstack Labs's design director Brian Smith shared with me his interest in designing and implementing an internal reporting tool that allows the team to submit their daily status, report task progress, time spent, and additional details using its integration with Toggl and Jira.
I was curious and intrigued by this new way of designing and interacting with the team. We worked closely with the FullStack CEO while building the MVP.
We started brainstorming possible initiatives and doing some sketches of initial user flows for the benefit of FullStack Labs employees and clients. And that is how DASH came about.
Specs.
FullStack’s project management platform will improve team collaboration, eliminate inbox chaos, and keep the team on the same page.
We created an inventory spreadsheet with all the required information to help any stakeholder understand the current state of each project and the progress of each team member. Found in this sheet are specifications for most of the features present in DASH MVP.
Created a style guide, main sections, and initial documentation for development.
Delivery.
When looking back on what we accomplished, DASH is an internal tool that provides traceability of the works that are currently being done by the FullStack Labs team. Using this tool, all software team members can send their daily status, report task progress, time spent, and additional details using its integration with Toggl and Jira.
